Objective
To quantify energy savings on board a medium-range (MR) tanker having suctions sails
Project scope
• Collect data as specified by a fuel savings method
• Test and refine data acquisition method and data analysis
• Run statistical analysis to isolate and quantify energy savings derived from the sail retrofits
• Determine accuracy and suitability of method for future retrofits and EET projects
