Victor PANG

Senior Associate, Research & Projects

Victor is a Senior Associate in the Research & Projects team at the Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation, supporting GCMD’s unlocking the carbon value chain initiative to demonstrate onboard carbon capture and storage systems and the offtake of LCO2.

 

Prior to joining GCMD, he was a manager in a local SME, where he oversaw membrane R&D works, water treatment system design, and subsequently the integration work for local and overseas projects. A marine engineer by training, Victor has close to a decade of first-hand at sea experience onboard ocean-going vessels. Onshore, he worked as an engineer for almost two decades in a semi-government entity, where he was involved in ship management, project management, plant maintenance and oil and water treatment.

 

Previously, as a Project Manager in a Japanese MNC, Victor successfully delivered multiple water features projects, locally and overseas, such as Changi Jewel’s HSBC Rain Vortex, the waterfall feature at Marina One Green Heart, InterContinental Danang Resort and The Residence Bintan.

 

Victor graduated from the University of Manchester with a Master of Science in Project Management.

 

Victor is a regular blood donor. For his civic-mindedness, he received a gold award from the Red Cross Society in 2023. He has completed three full marathons and numerous half marathons over his 4 years of running. He is currently training to participate in more challenging marathons overseas.
