Roy holds a joint PhD degree from the Nanyang Technological University and Technical University of Denmark. His PhD research was centered on maritime operations research and management concerning fuel flexibility for liner shipping such as joint fuel mix, fleet deployment and ship speed optimisation. 

 

Roy graduated from the University of Western Australia with the Convocation Prize as well as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Western Australia Award. He also holds a PGDip with Distinction from the London School of Economics and a joint MSc in International Management from the Norwegian School of Economics and Keio University, majoring in energy, natural resource and environmental management.

 

Prior to joining GCMD, Roy was a researcher in the Energy Research Institute at the Nanyang Technological University and had worked in the commodities and natural resource sector.
