Heather YANG

Chief Operating Officer

Prior to GCMD, Heather worked as the Director of Human Resources for Promontory Financial Group Australasia, an IBM Company, for 13 years. She managed human resource efforts for Promontory across the South East Asian, Australian/New Zealand, and sub-Saharan African regions. Heather’s key priorities included nurturing existing talent and identifying new talent to support the group for the firm in these fast growing regions.

 

Prior to joining Promontory, Heather was a consultant with Carmichael Consulting, where she assisted in setting up regulatory agencies for non-banking financial institutions and capacity-building for risk-based prudential supervision in developing countries including Namibia, Malawi, Botswana, Uganda, and El Salvador.

 

Previously, Heather worked for Goldman Sachs (Singapore) in their Asia-Pacific Equity Research Division and for Goldman Sachs (Hong Kong) in their Investment Banking Division.

 

Heather is currently on the Board of United World College South East Asia, one of the largest international schools in the world, and chairs the Education and Talent committee. 

 

Heather graduated magna cum laude with an A.B. from Princeton University.
